Fire Rings outlast Ice Breakers

The Kelowna Fire Rings held off the Vernon Ice Breakers 8-6 in Under 10 ringette action Saturday.

Kelowna came out hard and got the first goal but Keira Braddick took a pass from Ginger Demetrick to get Vernon on the board. Kiera Horton, assisted by Maryssa Wilson, and Lucia Manton from Ginger Demetrick had the score knotted at 3-3 after the first period.

The Fire Rings rang up three straight goals for a strong lead. Braddick converted from Manton and Horton scored twice with her last goal assisted by Marlee White.
