Nine-time Brier veteran Johnny Morris will return to throw third rocks for Vernon's Jim Cotter next curling season.

Morris, a 37-year-old Calgary firefighter, helped Cotter qualify for the 2013 Olympic Trials and the 2014 Brier in Kamloops. Morris joined Pat Simmons' Calgary rink in 2015.

Said Cotter on Twitter Monday morning: "We're excited to see this team together again after John's announcement today as there's some unfinished business after twice coming so close."

Morris struck gold with Kevin Martin at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. He replaces Ryan Kuhn, who left the team a month ago to spend more time with his young family. Rick Sawatsky and Tyrel Griffith round out the Cotter roster.
