Georgia Swarm
Vernon’s Brodie MacDonald helped the Georgia Swarm keep its National Lacrosse League playoff hopes alive Sunday.
MacDonald made 36 saves and was the game’s third star as the Swarm defeated the Colorado Mammoth 17-10.
The win stopped a five-game skid, and moved the Swarm (5-9) within one game of the third and final playoff spot in the East Division with four games remaining in the regular season.
The Swarm currently trails the Rochester Knighthawks by a game for the third and final playoff spot in the East.
The two teams meet Saturday.
MacDonald has appeared in all 14 Swarm games, compiling a 4-6 record. He’s fourth in the league in minutes played at 620:58, and 10th in save percentage at .741.
