Jordan Foster stopped everything shot his way Friday, leading the Vernon Coca Cola Vipers to a 7-0 win over the Salmon Arm Silvertips in the opening game for both teams at the Midget Tier 3 Snakepit Classic minor hockey tournament at the Civic Arena.
The Quesnel Thunder scored three times in the third period Saturday morning to beat Vernon 6-5 at Kal Tire Place.
Vernon led 4-3 going into the final frame.
The Vipers were slated to finish the round-robin Saturday afternoon against the Kamloops Blazers.
The North Okanagan Knights, Merritt, Winfield, Columbia Valley, Vanderhoof and West Kelowna rounded out the 10-team tournament.
The semifinals are set for 6 and 8:15 a.m. and the final goes at 3 p.m., all at the Civic Arena.
