The 16-year-old member of the Silver Star Freestyle Club was fifth after the qualification round with 69.30. He was runner-up to Team B.C.’s Max Heard of Duncan.

Morisson was 12th in moguls on Thursday.

In boys hockey action, Team B.C. faced Ontario in the semifinals Thursday afternoon.

Vernon’s Curtis Lazar paced the B.C. offence with two goals in their 4-2 quarterfinal win over Manitoba Wednesday.

Lazar is second in tournament scoring with six goals for 10 points in four games.

Cole Sanford, also a Vernon product, chipped in an assist. Lumby’s Dylan Bowen also plays with the team.

Quebec outlasted Alberta 5-4 in overtime in the other semi to advance to today’s gold-medal game at the Halifax Metro Centre.

In ringette action, Team B.C., featuring Vernon’s Mallory Sisson and Rylee English, fell 10-3 to Alberta in the quarterfinals.
