PHOTOS: 65th annual Knox Mountain Hill Climb takes place in Kelowna

Most of Knox Mountain is closed for the two day event

The engines were started at the 65th annual Knox Mountain Hill Climb in Kelowna on the Victoria Day long weekend.

Racers sped up the 3.5 kilometre track, which has 800 metres of elevation, narrow areas and sharp turns.

This motorsport racing event welcomes racers from all over the world and is the longest running paved hill climb racing event in North America.

The two-day competition comes to an end of Sunday.
