Play ball! Kelowna Falcons set to open 2023 season

After a long offseason, the Kelowna Falcons start their 2023 season on the road on Friday, June 2.

The team starts their 56-game schedule with a three-game series against the Portland Pickles, in Portland with the third game on Sunday, June 4. After an off-day on Monday, June 5, the Falcons will play their home-opener on Tuesday, June 6 when they welcome the Nanaimo NightOwls.

Last season, the Falcons struggled as they went 20-33 on the season, seventh in the North Division.

The coaching staff from last season remains the same for 2023 but the roster with mostly new players with a new returning players coming back to town. The majority of the players are coming from various college teams all across North America.

The Falcons will also feature many speciality nights this summer, including Bark at the Park, a Canada Day celebration, Ladies Night, and the annual BC Fire Fighters Burn Fundraising night that includes fireworks after the game.

Tickets for the season opening game and for every home game can be found on the Falcons website. All home games are at Elks Stadium.
