All throughout the month of June, golf professionals around B.C. will be swinging the clubs from sunrise to sundown to support ALS.
Vernon Golf and Country Club will be participating in the event Tuesday, June 3, at the 18th annual PGA of B.C. Golfathon for ALS.
To raise awareness and funds for the ALS Society of B.C, golfers Brooks and Bradlee Jones will golf as many holes as possible.
Additionally, Hillview Golf Course will also be participating, with pro Myles Johnson teeing it up on Monday, June 19.
“Golf is a sport I’m passionate about and ALS is a cause close to my heart,” said Jay Janower, sports anchor and reporter at Global News B.C. “My friend’s mom battled ALS so raising funds for patient services is near to my heart. It’s the reason I welcome the opportunity to become a part of the hugely successful PGA of BC Golfathon for ALS as its Ambassador.”
Proceeds from the Golfathon for ALS will provide crucial support services to ALS patients and their families, friends, and caregivers.
