Skaters shine at first event

Vernon Figure Skating Club members compete at Okanagan Interclub in Kamloops

The Vernon Figure Skating Club kicked off what will be a busy 2017-18 season by sending skaters to the 2017 Okanagan Interclub event at the McArthur Island Centre in Kamloops.

Vernon results included:

Star 1:

Annaston Munro – Silver;

Kate Hobenshield – Silver;

Star 2:

Emma Heiden – Silver;

Kiana Casanova – Silver;

Kassydi Bradley- Silver;

Star 3:

Jasmine Soon – Silver;

Alyssa Bidoski – Silver;

Anna Beyer – Gold;

Silver Interpretive:

Rebecca Fux – 5th;

Aysia Morgan – 1st;

Bronze Interpretive:

Cloe Carlton – 5th;

Juvenile u14:

Aysia Morgan – 5th;

Star 5 Free Skate:

Natalie Fux – 7th;

Star 5 Elements:

Natalie Fux – 6th;

The Vernon club will host the 2018 Okanagan Region championships Feb. 16-18 at Kal Tire Place.

The event is expected to bring in about 400 skaters from throughout the Okanagan and surrounding areas.
