It’s a small consolation for the Seaton Sonics.
The Sonics fell 1-0 in penalty kicks to the Langley Fundamental Titans in the bronze medal game Wednesday at the B.C. AA High School Senior Boys soccer championships at Burnaby Lake Complex.
The fourth-place showing is believed to be the best result for any Vernon area high school boys soccer team at the provincial finals.
Coach Michel Amoua’s squad won its round-robin pool with a 2-0-1 mark to advance to the semifinals.
St. Michael’s University School Blue Devils of Victoria – who beat the Sonics 4-0 in Tuesday’s semifinal – won the provincial championship with a 2-1 overtime victory over the Bodwell Bears of North Vancouver.
