A transformer failure at the Nor-Val Sports Centre in Armstrong Friday night forced officials to call a Kootenay International Junior Hockey League game with 4:01 remaining in the second period.
The Summerland Steam were leading the host North Okanagan Knights 4-1 when the transformer blew.
Josh Pilon, Brogan Lautard, Den Dietrich-Scammel and Everett Scherger scored for Summerland (16-6-0-2), while Brady Marzocco replied (14th) for the Knights (9-15-0-1). The Steam led 2-1 after 20 minutes.
Summerland, second in the Okanagan Division of the Okanagan-Shuswap Conference, held a shot advantage of 24-8, including a 13-4 margin in the first period.
Dean Whitcomb of North Okanagan and Alex Williams of the Steam were ejected for a second-period scrap at 10:45.
The Knights, who are fourth in the Okanagan Division, entertained the Revelstoke Grizzlies Saturday night.
The Grizzlies (9-13-0-1) lost 4-1 to the host Kamloops Storm Friday night.
Jordan Rea of Vernon registered his 11th goal of the season for the Grizzlies.
The Sicamous Eagles tripped up the Princeton Posse 3-1 to move within seven points of Revelstoke. The Posse are four points behind the Knights for the fourth and final playoff berth in the Okanagan Division.
The Kelowna Chiefs shut down the 100 Mile House Wranglers 4-0 in a rugged tilt which saw the teams combined for 220 penalty minutes. Kelowna is third in the Okanagan at 15-8-1-1.
The defending league champion Wranglers are 13-6-0-3, second in the Doug Birks Division.
