The Vipers have scored a hat trick of wins so far in the playoffs.

Vernon and the Trail Smoke Eaters wrapped up Game three in the best of seven series at the Cominco Arena Tuesday night.

Shea Busch scored two goals and Adam Csabi had the game winner in the third period as the Vipers won 5-3.

“That was a game full of emotion,” says Vipers coach Colton Sparrow. “It was full of ups and downs as we came from behind twice. This is a character win from our group. Everyone had a hand in that one.”

Anthony Cliche gave the Vipers their first lead of the night after a shorthanded goal, the teams second shorty of the playoffs.

Isaac Tremblay hit the empty net late to secure the win.

“It was huge for us to get this win in their barn,” said captain Connor Elliott. “We battled hard, stuck with our game plan through the ups and downs. It was a great team win.”

Ethan David stopped 34 of 37 for the win.

Game four of the series will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday night in Trail.

The Smoke Eaters hit the trail to Vernon Friday, April 12 for the 7 p.m. puck drop at Kal Tire Place.

Game six goes Sunday in Trail at 5 p.m. followed by the final Tuesday, April 16 in Vernon.

So far the Vipers have won each of the playoff games.
