Vernon Vortex club member Nate Benn (112) has a lead on Kelowna's Noah Rubliak going into a turn at the fifth annual Coyote Cup speedskating event in Kamloops.

Vernon Vortex speedskaters set nine personal best times and finished sixth overall out of 12 clubs at the fifth annual Coyote Cup meet in Kamloops.

Daniel Hall had the lone first place finish for the Vortex. Mattias Isobe, Nathan Stewart and Lauryn Eddy each finished second in their divisions.

Declan Fitzpatrick, Tadhg Boyle and Nate Benn earned bronze medals while Laura Hall finished fourth in her division, competing against skaters in preparation for the Canadian Long Track championships in Quebec.
