Local athletes are scoring some support from a local rideshare service.

Uride provides safe, reliable, and affordable rides and now the company is giving back to the community through its Good Deeds Program.

This June, the Ride for a Reason initiative spotlights local children’s soccer organizations, with Vernon Soccer Club scoring the goal as this month’s chosen beneficiary. The local group will receive 10 per cent of all Uride fares from Monday, June 19.

“The goal of our Good Deeds Program is to strengthen the communities we serve,” said Cody Ruberto, founder and CEO of Uride. “By supporting children’s soccer organizations this month, we’re helping empower young athletes and fostering a spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship that extends beyond the soccer field.”

Uride’s focus on smaller markets reflects its commitment to the communities served. The Good Deeds Program, and notably the Ride for a Reason initiative, serve as strong pillars of support for local causes and organizations.

“We encourage everyone in Vernon to take a Uride on Monday, June 19, to help us drive change,” said Ruberto. “Together we can team up to create a winning environment for the youth.”
