PHOTOS: Armstrong school introduces triathlon to students

28th annual Highland Park Elementary event is a big hit with the Grades 4 and 5 participants

Taking advantage of the facilities across the road, Armstrong’s Highland Park Elementary School’s year-end tradition continued Friday, June 2.

The 28th annual Grades 4 and 5 triathlon was held under sunny skies.

“The school is uniquely set up for this because they can host the swim at the outdoor pool (Memorial Park), then boogie down to the IPE Grounds for the cycling and back to the school for the run,” said one parent.

“It was a really cool event as kids can choose which difficulty level they want to do… silver, gold or iron kid.”
