Get ready to rumble as Mamba Fight League hosts a series of matches in Kamloops on July 28.

MMA fighter, owner of Mamba Martial Arts Academy, and CEO of Mamba Fight League Kultar Gill is the force behind the event.

Held at the BC TCC Arena, Gill said it will be a show stopper for all ages.

“It gives a foundation to new athletes that are coming up,” Gill said, noting that events like these helped give him the reputation he has today as Kultar Black Mamba.

“We are giving a platform for these young warriors to shine in front of their friends and family members, and in front of YouTube and television.”

Gill said many of the fighters showcasing their skills are local to the Okanagan and are 18 plus. It’s not just for the men, female fighters will also take to the ring.

Mamba Fight League has been hosting fight nights since 2014, taking the event to various communities in the province.

“We love getting the community together for business networking events. We have 38 tables sold so far to local businesses in Kamloops.”

Those tables include, the mayor and councillors, school trustees and other local politicians.

Tickets are available online starting at $55 for general admission. Tables with dinner service are also available.

“This is sanctioned by the BC Athletic Commission, which is a government body underneath the tourism and arts minister.”

Gill noted that events like these are not to promote violence, but rather showcase the skills of hardworking athletes.

“We have two doctors on rink side, we have an ambulance that we pay for, paramedics that we pay for, the judges are all trained, the referees are all trained, even the score keeper and the timer, the person that rings the bell, they’re all trained.”

Doors for the event open at 6 p.m. with the first fight scheduled for 7 p.m.
