Thanks to business partners and annual fundraising, KingFisher’s social committee is spreading the holiday spirit to 27 families with Christmas food essentials, gifts for children and family, from over $20,000 in donated goods.
“KingFisher has strong roots in our community. We are proud to give back once again. The Okanagan-Shuswap is home to our 160 employees. Thanks to their contributions, we are able to support our community in a meaningful way,” said Sarah Gregory, HR Director.
KingFisher’s social committee raises funds with events including, a silent auction, 50/50 draws with funds going to the Christmas Hamper Fund. KingFisher’s business partners also play a key role in gathering the goods and families were selected through anonymous nominations by Team KingFisher and Community Futures.
“The spirit of giving is infectious; our team has so much fun nominating, wrapping and shopping. All year long we look forward to The Christmas Hamper Gift Giveaway” said Gregory.
