Education system

Mr O’Brien. I am of the age that remembers when the teachers were not a union, but dedicated teachers who wanted to do best for their students. Then the Social Credit government decided to give the teachers the right to become a union.

Driving

Driving is a privilege and not a right. People with that privilege should respect the speed limits. Okanagan Street in Armstrong is posted at 50 kilometres an hour, not 60 or more. If you live on Okanagan Street and are concerned about crossing the street, backing out of your drive way, walking your dog, riding your bike or losing a pet or a loved one, please write or call the RCMP.
LETTER: Huge price to pay for fracking

LETTER: Huge price to pay for fracking

Methane gas emissions based on recent studies are 2.5 times higher than what the government is telling us.
LETTER: Accountability model flawed

LETTER: Accountability model flawed

The actions of the BC Liberals since 2002 prove that Greg Kyllo’s polished statements on environmental integrity are dishonest and misleading.

Concerns exist about the NDP

I find it interesting that NDP candidate Barry Dorval includes on his election signs the phrase, “working for you.”

Government ads

Do you remember seeing all of those government of B.C. ads that were airing on TV, in the newspapers and who knows where else just before the election officially began in our province?

Economic record defended

Vern Polotikis asks for a retraction, without ever checking his facts except for the years that the NDP and B.C. Liberals were each in power (Wikipedia).

Education

Bud Collis says, “Education must be a priority.” I have no idea who this gentleman is and have never met him, but you, the general public, must pay attention to him. He said he was a principal/teacher and taught in this district for more than 30 years. I taught for 20 years and 10 in this district, and we both have the same opinion. Your education system is in trouble.

Liberal concerns

Am I missing something? The Liberal government has taken us another $30 billion-plus in debt but yet since we have a $295 million surplus, you all want and think you deserve a hero biscuit.

Questions

Dear Christy Clark, please say no to Kinder Morgan.
